ABOUT ALISON PRICE-ROM

I am an illustrator and writer with a background in fine art, literature and K-12 education. My international education work has taken me around the world to Armenia, Austria, Czech Republic, France, India, Indonesia, Italy, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Uzbekistan and more. During my travels I love to collect local folk tales and art that inspire my illustrations and stories. My illustrations are made with watercolor, colored pencil and ink. Although I specialize in re-telling traditional tales “with a twist,” I also love to write and illustrate my own, original tales as well as illustrate the work of other authors. I am a member of SCBWI and C-Big and live in New Jersey, not far from New York: apricerom@verizon.net
